Still here in November

As friends and family know, normally at this time of year we're getting ready to travel to Cambodia and Laos where we have spent the past 8 winters. Of course 2020 is different. They don't want us and our germs there - understandably - and we're stuck in Poole for the winter.

So, how to make the most of it? I'm determined to find fresh activities to love in a cold and damp climate, rather than sitting indoors, gazing sadly at pix of Laos. I have our wonderful new Garden Room which Trevann built recently. I have the community orchard at Turner's Nursery just down the road. I have Talbot Heath and the Bourne Valley within walking distance. I have my bicycle if I want to see the sea. It's a wonderful place to live.

While we are in lockdown 2 it's hard not to miss socialising, get-togethers with friends, meals and drinks enjoyed in company of family but I'm sure that will all return some day.
